Melissa Louie, MPA, LCSW, C-ASWCM
To help improve the quality of life of older adults, Ms. Louie has spent the past 24 years advocating for older adults. She is the Founder of SeniorHabitat. In addition, she served as Founder of Opt2Care Senior Services, a healthcare service firm that blended traditional homecare with complementary therapies such as music therapy, art therapy and massage therapy. In 2011, Opt2Care was acquired by SeniorBridge (subsidary of Humana). Throughout her career, Ms. Louie has dedicated herself to providing patient-centered care. Previous experience includes Program Director and Social Worker at Village Care of New York's Chelsea Adult Day Health Center, Eldercare Coordinator at Catholic Charities-Ministry for Seniors and Social Worker at Dry Harbor Nursing Home. Ms Louie also has an extensive academic background earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Religion and a certificate in Criminology from Rutgers University, a Master of Social Work degree from New York University, completion in Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI) from Columbia University, a Master of Public Administration degree from Baruch College and a post-graduate certificate in Psychoanalyst/Psychotherapy at Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy and Training. Ms. Louie was designated by the National Association of Social Workers as a Certified Advanced Social Work Case Manager (C-ASWCM). Also, she is a Certified Geriatric Care Manager with the National Association of Geriatric Care Managers. As an active member of the community, Ms Louie has served on the Board of Trustee at the Montclair Shared Housing Association and trained with the Alzheimer's Association as a support group leader.

Ms. Markowitz is an award-winning interactive professional, with experience representing twenty+ years in User Experience Strategy & Design. She has consulted at digital ad agencies such as Ogilvy, Grey, BBDO/Atmosphere, Publicis, Saatchi and Y&R/VML, and for private clients including Optimum Online, JPMorgan Chase, Prudential Financial and Little Brownie Bakers/Girl Scouts USA. She has a passion for creating engaging interactive web, tablet & mobile design interfaces that improve how we work, play and live – evidenced by initiatives she has led involving large-scale back-end systems, dynamic customer-facing tools, e-commerce, multi-site integration, marketing, branding, and social network communities. She has designed digital products for platforms ranging from CMS tools to Interactive Television, from Internet and mobile-based marketing products to complex data-driven software applications for clients like MetLife, FedEx, IBM, Wyeth, Merck, Lilly, Novartis, Chevron, Scholastic Book Clubs, ThompsonReuters, Kraft Foods, Nikon USA, Virtua Healthcare and the 4A’s.
